Couples Therapy Charlotte, NC

About Me

It can be intimidating to take the first step into couples counseling. When you come into my office, you get the real me. I am caring, direct, and transparent. Talking through the intimate parts of your relationship with someone is difficult! I have so much respect for the couples who take the vulnerable step to get some help for their relationship.

I’m originally from Winston Salem, NC, but have lived in Toulouse, France, Minneapolis, MN and Boone, NC (yay, Mountaineers!) . I have a great passion for therapy and have been practicing since 2010. I’m a mother of two young kids and understand the joy and stress kids put on a marriage. I know feeling like a teammate with your spouse is one of the best ways to feel like you can survive the early years of raising children. My husband and I love spending time with our kids and in our free time we enjoy traveling to visit our family and friends all over the U.S.

I am trained in The Gottman Method (currently a candidate for certification) and am also trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy ( externship level). I use research-based methods in all of my work and I have extensive experience with addiction and in working with infidelity.

"Lyndsey is one of the most genuine couples therapists I've had the pleasure to work with. I see how much she loves her couples, and she really gets into the fray with them. She's not the type of therapist to sit back, unaffected and detached -  she really fights for your relationship with you."
