It can be intimidating to take the first step into couples counseling. When you come into my office, you get the real me. I am caring, direct, and transparent. Talking through the intimate parts of your relationship with someone is difficult! I have so much respect for the couples who take the vulnerable step to get some help for their relationship.
I’m originally from North Carolina but I have lived in France and the Twin Cities . I have a great passion for therapy and have been practicing since 2010. I’m a mother of two young kids and understand the joy and stress kids put on a marriage. I know feeling like a teammate with your spouse is one of the best ways to feel like you can survive the early years of raising children. My husband and I love spending time with our kids and in our free time we enjoy traveling to visit our family and friends all over the U.S.
I am trained in The Gottman Method (currently a candidate for certification) and am also trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy ( externship level). I use research-based methods in all of my work and I have extensive experience with addiction and in working with infidelity.
